Default best replacement speakers

I wanna know what you guys recommend for replacing the factory door speakers and factory a-pillar tweeters (02 Frontier king-cab)? I wanna slowly start to modify stuff, and deffinately want better stereo sound. I do have a Visonik bandpass box w/ 2 12s I'll add later on, but just wanna get these other 2 done first

Depends on your cash flow. I would recommend Apline components or Infinity personally. Infinity has crisp highs but lacks on mids a little. Alpines are good all around. Polk is also a good brand, but lacks on the highs for me.

All of there will cost about the same, Aplines might be a little higher. Also depending on the series you go with.

I would also think about putting silencer on your doors while your at it. It makes a world of difference.

i concur. the infinity reference and polk db series are good starters in the budget price range.

my next recommendation is probably double their price, but the pioneer premier ts-c720prs are very nice for the price as well

^^ yeah x2 on the deadener. just.........i used regular dynamat, and uh... you need a better adhesive if your truck is dark and stays in the sun all the time lol...

i put some boston SL-60's in. there are better options for tweeters...for the longest time, i just had a set of clarion coaxials in the door and the factory tweeters up top... was ok... but that's not a very big tweeter up there at all, and you're gonna be doing some fiberglass/bondo work to put anything bigger up there.

I'd have to say spend a few extra bucks for the alpine components either type S or R.

the accesories tech at work, who I'm good friends with, said that they had some Kenwood Echelons they were trying to get rid of. he said he'd check and see if they had any. and he said they're some good ones as well
