Default Frame Differences???

Question:

Will a 2WD short bed none extended cab Hardbody frame interchange and replace a 4WD short bed frame none extended cab Hardbody frame?

If not what are the differences?

single cab beds are the same
extended cab beds are the same
2wd/4wd doesnt matter, 4wd just have the little flares

single cab and extended cab beds are different (wheel well placement is different) and will not interchange

Thank you very much for the response.

I assume when you say "Beds" are the same that you mean the frame/chassis are also the same as that is my original question?

Is that correct OR are you just speaking that the beds interchange?

I was aware that the beds where the same for single cab truck 4WD or 2WD.

Just to throw another monkey wrench in this frame question are the frames different for 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engines?

I need to know if the frames are the same 2WD to 4WD to look for a good none rusty frame to replace the rusty frame on 1 of my 4WD Desert Runner's.

The picture in post number three from this thread should help you visualize your question.

Thanks for the response however that STILL does not answer my question.

Forget about the beds and their different length's or wheel well positions I am asking about the FRAME/CHASSIS.

Is a single cab short bed 2WD FRAME/CHASSIS the exact same FRAME/CHASSIS used under a single cab short bed 4WD truck with the same engine option in each!

That means are these frames IDENTICAL in configuration even though they have different suspension systems under the front-end of the frame?

They are not the same frame. Same wheel base but everything else is different.

Thank you.

That's what I thought however I wanted to confirm if I decide to keep the rough Desert Runner and replace the bad frame and bed.
