no special tools, just a couple 19mm wrenches, look under the drivers side for a stud with 2 bolts on it,right before the front cat flange. loosen the bolts on that stud ans the one across the truck with the front wheels off the ground

Question would the torsion bar make my truck tilt to the side if it's cranked to much on one side?

yes, you need to make sure that its done evenly, the same amount on both side
and then get a wheel alignment afterwards as it will change and needs to be put back to spec. how much are you thinking of dropping it? |

Ive actually dropped it already twice 1st time a 4in drop with blocks but I hit something and broke a ubolt and bent another now this time I did a 3in drop removed the bumpstops and replaced my rear shocks with Gabriel absorbers...I've never messed with the torsion bar honestly I wouldn't know what bolts to crank

under the truck you will see two bars connected the the lower control arm, that bar called the torsion bar holds your truck up just like a spring.
![]() the bolt at the back of the bar adjusts the height in the front. you can go pretty low that way but you will need shorter shocks and an alignment depending on how low your going. ** Stole this from Sicnis Post. |

yup thats the one...its pretty simple...hardest part is making sure that both sides are done evenly. i suggest jacking up the front end and putting it on jackstands and as you loosen the nut just count the number of cranks with the socket and do the same amount to the other side. i would also measure the height from the center cap of the wheel to the lip of the fender just to be more certain of the distance lowered comparing left to right. then get an alignment and you should be straight!
