Default 95 V6 to VG33E or VG33ER Swap

This is for my engine swap. I've given myself 45 days to get it done because the JDM engine only has a 60 day warranty.

The original engine in my truck was making a small knock that progressively got worse. I tried different weights of oil, oil additives & engine flushes to see if it would improve things, no go.

The VG33 has a little more power so that's a bonus. I have my eyes open for a Supercharger and will include that in the swap if I can find one in time.

Default Supercharger Components

I've been looking for a Supercharger and the various ads I've looked at have from one to several different parts/pieces for sale. Can someone list everything I need to get to Supercharge a VG33?

Thanks

Check out my series titled "Supercharged VG33ER Nissan Pathfinder Pickup" build playlist on Youtube. You can skip episodes 1-4 if you like as those are 'prequels' to the actual build. Any videos dated after January 2020 are going to have the most about the VG33ER swap I am working on.

Wow, looks like a great set of videos. I'll start at #5 like you've suggested. I like that they're not an hour long, to many people over do it in their videos. Looks like you get to the point.

Thanks

Work has been pretty busy, lots of assignments. The VG33 is almost completely torn down. The VG30 is almost ready to be lifted out of the truck and put on a stand next to the 33.

Since I'm right there, I'm thinking of pulling the heads so I can change the head gaskets. Shouldn't really add anything to the job, it's just something else I have to order and wait for the parts to be delivered. Anyone else do this?

I can't find a complete Supercharger anywhere. I check car-parts.com, Ebay, Offerup, Row52, Facebook marketplace and CraigList on a daily basis. That part of the project just might get cancelled.

I got my parts ordered today, that includes the pulley Adapter from Mr510 off Ebay. I also ordered a new clutch kit and flywheel, full gasket set and head-bolts. I'm replacing the head-gaskets, I don't ever want to work on this engine again with the exception of required maintenance.

I still have to order my crank/cam seals and TB, I'm going OEM for those. I'm reusing the OE water pump and tensioner bearing, I replaced those about a year ago, they have about 5K miles on them.

Finding a complete sc setup is not easy. I ran into one at the yard and grabbed all i could except the crank pulley which wad already chipped. I went back 3 times between 2 different trucks to get the second setup. The first setup was the complete engine off ebay from cali.

I see that, the top half is available from a number of places but getting the bottom half, intake pipe and everything else needed just hasn't happened. I need to find someone with a bad engine and just buy the whole vehicle.

I'm going to keep looking but I have to go forward with getting this engine installed and tested.

Simply using the crank adapter will not work. The steering and alternator slider brackets along with the vg30 water pump have to be notched for clearing the bigger vg33 oil pump housing. The stock vg30 lower alternator bracket is not long enough to push the alternator away from the oil filter housing, so it has to be extended.

All that is necessary if the plan is to keep the accessories in the original location with the original drive belt location.
