Thanks. Looks kinda thin which is good. The VG30i filter hits every thing on the way in.

Looks like I can't use my relocation kit for the D21 either. Anyone got a VG30 that wants an oil filter relocation kit?

New filter fit like a charm.

Got most of the wiring harness hooked up. Gotta do fluids, starter, alternator, radiator and battery now. Found my throttle cable is trashed. Must have gotten damaged when we pulled the motor. Holds the throttle half way open. No dice. Nobody in town seems to be able to figure out the proper cable so I'm going to junk yard one and hope it hasn't been cut or damaged and replace it later.

Did today:
-Oil and filter
-"New" throttle cable
-Grounds connected
-Intake on
-Starter installed
-Oil pressure sender for autometer connected

Left to do:

-Extend the wires for the alternator. Plug is the same as the old one but the eyelets are too small and dont reach the new locations.
-Install radiator and fill with coolant.
-Wire electric fan
-Fill power steering fluid
-Charge battery
-Burp the clutch
-Plug in the electric oil pressure sender.
-Set timing
-Install diff

DRIVE IT!

My internet is dumb so no photo.

I was lucky enough to snag one off the 88 pathfinder I got my hubs from at the junk yard. $10 and out the door. Still need to source a new one. Seems to be quite the chore to find a new one locally.

you can make one pretty easily.

As long as you have the proper ends you need you can likely go to a bicycle store and have one made. they make custom hand brake cables for bikes all the time and theres no difference between a throttle cable and brake cable other than the ends..

actually now that i say that i dont think they are custom at all.

I bought a "hand throttle lever" for a project and the cable had the common "T-ends" or little bullets on the end and was like, 35in long im sure you could get one off of ebay for cheap that way too.

came in a sheath and everything
