Hi there I'm new so bear with me I have a 89 hb with a z24 d21 and I have the speedometers cable but there is no needle to connect to the back of the cluster what do I do? Also how do I accurately identify my motor ........my cell phone is slow so my rrplys will take a little while sorry

I'm not sure where to start with this one...
How did you manage to buy a speedometer cable without first identifying the motor? I know they are different between the V6 and 4cyl. Does yours look like this? ![]() If so that's a VG30i This is a Z24i ![]() This is a KA24 ![]()

you said you have a "89 Z24 D21" ,Z24I is the engine
is there a needle on your speedo? or did it bend & break off? if so there are numerus ways to fix it up to getting a new speedo, I have seen people make a new needle from a match stick (painted white) and glued to the nub |
