But $850? Why so cheap?

I'd expect $850 for a truck that was not running. $1500 at a rock bottom price. $2000 OBO should get you some good calls.

Or, am I missing something?

Yeah, running and driving it's worth more than $850.

Is there anything wrong with it?

I mean, if I took a cheap flight to Florida, could I drive it home?

You've got me seriously considering this as an extra truck. Another V6, 5-speed, 2wd would be welcome here.

The body has rust. The inside of the bed is really quit bad (as well as the other parts of the bed.) Rockers are bad, cab corners and floors have holes. Core support must be replaced. Doors and fenders are in better shape (relatively speaking) however they do have Bondo.

I took on the body work about 4 or 5 years ago as an opportunity to gain experience. That "restoration" has deteriorated and it's very obvious that it needs to be redone.

Oh, the tail gate is in bad shape. It works fine and has the SE trim panel (in really good shape) but the bottom 3rd of the outside skin was cut out and patched (and not well.) Now it also has to be redone (doesn't look awesome.)

Let's see what else... The windshield is cracking over in the lower passenger corner and it also leaks around the trim, upper driver's side corner.

AC doesn't work. Radio only gets AM stations and with lots of alternator noise.

And also the last cross member of the frame needs to be replaced, it's not an expensive job or a difficult one but it must be done. And the passenger side rear frame shock mount will have to be re-fabricated.

Exhaust system could use some work. Muffler might have a hole and the cat. has a buzzing noise when cold starting (goes away quickly.)

Well that's all the bad I can think of. Other than that it's been well maintained.

Oh. It has a vacuum leak in the intake manifold and that causes it to run funny until it warms up. It's in Fail Safe Mode (probably needs a new MAF sensor.)

Oh, a small oil leak from the rear main seal. And 5th gear makes that noise.

It's usable in this condition for kayaking, fishing, and small projects and getting the dog to the park. but I'm planning a big move.

Honestly jp2code, If I thought it would survive a road trip like that, I'd probably take it with me.

I view it as a "yard truck" that also gets around town.

I use it for jobs like this (just 2 days ago.) I guess the upside is that while someone is completing repairs, they could continue using it.
