1996 and 1997

both models only show the 15.9 gallon tank

I wish mine had the larger tank. I'm planning to make a custom military-style bed for it next year. When I do that I think I'm going to try to find or make a custom fuel tank to give it more capacity. I'd really like 20 or 25 gallons.

If you could find one anywhere. They're very rare.

86, it will look something like the one below. I'm going to put at least 2 Jerry can holders on it (probably one on each side) and at least 2 .50 cal ammo can holders on the sides as well.

36 gallons!

My parts truck has one. Guess I'll try swapping them and see if its fits under the single cab short bed build.

And I'm SO glad their both empty tanks right now too lol

i dont see why the bigger tank would not fit. as far as i know, the frames on the trucks stayed the same during the 11 year production.

if you do the swap and it works, take pics and it can be posted as a sticky for others to do as well.

can you take side by side pictures of the tanks? i wanna see the visual difference.
