Default Electric power steering

Ill be updating this once i get everything working correctly and running off the ignition
But what we have is pump 5n513k514cc/31302206
This is from 2004-10 volvo S and C series

Need to source a Quest alternator so it will take the grunt of the pump being it has a 70ish amp draw and the stock alternator wont cut it

2 main power and ground wires, and you need 1 signal wire.
Relay is built in to the pump, so the pump does not come on until 2-3 seconds after power has been given to the signal wire

I believe the pressure line is a 6an fitting, the stock bolt/banjo that holds the stock power steering line to the stock pump fits in perfect and seals as you can see in the picture

just ordered some wire loom so i can take care of my birds nest under the hood but

small note, thats still considered hydraulic assist steering. electric power steering is like my s2000 where it uses servos to assist and there is no fluid in the rack at all.

There is a lot of companies that make hydraulic assisted steering kits and electric steering

Yah i should have worded that differently lol

and Oldguy13
I looked at the TRW kit and it seemed nice

This fortunately was 50 bucks form a junk yard and i didnt have to change any lines lol i used the stock ones and the stock banjo bolt from the original pump for the pressure line

Forgot to update this.. power steering has been perfect.. with 1 exception

I ran a spade connector off the signal wire to where the fuel pump relay was.. I have the pump jumped so it runs all the time and i used one of the other terminals there for power to the signal.. unfortunately if the truck sees a high RPM the pump cuts off lol so i need to run the signal wire to a dedicated 12volts and ill be good .. but other then that all is well
The stock banjo bolt that holds the pressure line to the stock pump fit like a glove in the new pump and tightened right down
As for "Feel" while driving nothing really changed, seems alot smoother to be honest and god forbid my truck were to die i still have powersteering while the truck isnt running

Decent little swap if you are looking for something different and trying to clean things up

would work on anything that needs power steering to be honest.. just need to find a way to hook it up and run it for that application
