Default New year, New ideas

So being my truck is a basket of different parts from Nissans and Toyotas..
My next trick requires Weber 45 DCOE's

My question is ignition.. Im thinking L series distributor so it has points and a vacuum advance .. but i need clarification

Anyone that can shed light on this it would be greatly appreciated

EDIT
ill make a list as to what i used if anyone wants to venture down this road
1. 2x weber 45 dcoe style 152s part number 19600.06o
2. Source an intake. xcessivemanufacturing actually sells some stuff to make your own if you have the ability to weld aluminum
https://xcessivemanufacturing.com/xm...-dcoe-dbf.html
https://xcessivemanufacturing.com/xm...e-ui-rt-o.html
3. L20b dizzy CARDONE 31620
4. L-series dizzy shaft.. i used mine from an l28
5. Gm Hei ignition module 4 pin, i have uploaded the diagram for wiring
6. I used an Aeromotive 13301 FPR so i could keep the stock fuel pump. and regulate it down to 3-4 lbs
7. i had a custom Pedestal made for the l20 dizzy to adapt to the stock timing cover .. I can have them made if anyone needs one
8. As for power steering with this intake i cant use the stock pump so i went with a 2006 volvo s40 series remote electric pump. need to find a better location for it but it does work and still need the bigger alternator to support the amp draw
9. Idle jet kit will be a must part #702-DC8-2

Alot of help came from Ratsun

this was the thread i started there also

I run the original hitachi distributor in my VG30i that has been carb swapped. It needs thevDUI GM HEI upgrade though. It is pinging under hard acceleration. The computer system is unable to advance the timing as needed due to the deletion of the TPS and MAF sensors. It is still drivable. I getting right at 17 mpg. Once I buy that distributor with vacuum advance, I bet the fuel mileage will change.

The DUI is a direct drop in swap for the 6 cylinder engine. I do not know if there is one for the KA 4 banger.

Did you change the timing at all to to adjust for the pinging? I though swapping to the carb you are suppose to move/advance timing by 8 degrees.

Got the intake, boots, calmps, L28 dizzy shaft.. any one happen to have a good L20B distributor laying around and possibly a fuel pressure regulator laying around for 40psi to 7psi?

worth a shot to ask lol

Well still haven't sourced a distributor but i was able to get the intake cerakoted this weekend and kicked up a pair of carbs for 350 bucks.

Gonna order the rebuild kits and go from there

Redline wants 380 a piece for them and i can get them for 320 a piece through but used isn't always bad lol

Got it mocked up to make sure things clear and a few things dont.. welds on the intake have to be grounded down so the nuts can be tightened all the way down and where the carbs mount to their flange i think i need a spacer because the linkage comes in contact also
