I wonder if (if you can get a hold of him) the headers from rugged rocks fit better or I think MR510 on NPORA makes custom headers would fit properly?

Finally! A cheerful update!! Got both headers in!! Everything is back together!!! Had to cut the Y pipe as the Y pipe shape is wrong. It's now 1.5 inches out from where it was. Going to run into town and see what my options are for fixing that! Looks like I may be able to fire it up today!!

LUV v8 headers were once made by Hedman. They still have the die patterns for them. Asked them one upon a time if we guaranteed an order of 50 would they do it. No...

And pissed off post.

Every thing is in and the POS flange from the y pipe to the rest of the exhaust has a big ass leak. It seals at the bottom but not at the top. Suggestions?

Before you weld the pipes in place (like I had done), see if you can take the bolts back out of that header (I know - pain in the ass) and get it to shift around some so that it sits flush.

I think that is what I should have thought to do.

Actually, I thought of it, but only after they'd welded the shit together. Not it has to be cut off so I can get it fixed.

I was thinking of trying that. Might try tomorrow.

I have a theory. JP, whats the ID of the flange on your pacesetter exhaust? Whats the OD of the piece that comes out of the factory setup just after the y-pipe or did it not have one?

Lol. Well, I expected some issues. My setup is 4x4 manual headers for the VG30e between 1990 and 1995. My rig is a 1986.5 VG30i. I expect some issues with the routing. I also didnt expect pacesetter to have perfect bends. Its just fustrating at times.
