jp it looks like your receiver is pretty tucked in there too. Which hitch did you install?

I'm not sure the bumper I had on the truck was original, as I remember a Rock Auto receipt from the PO showing he purchased one. It attached the frame using three bolts on each side and sat towards the outside of the rails. I'll take a look at the brackets and see what mine look like.

I may try to add the bumper back on at a later date, but I'm digging the no bumper look at this point.

Thanks for all the kind words. Having a great time with this truck. So happy I bought it.

Found this when I looked up the part number with a nice diagram. I think I have another question, but I'll ask after I look at the truck to verify what I'm thinking.

I think non-airbag D21 has contact ring rather than clockspring. If so I'd go with a leather S13 wheel if you can find one in good shape. Many have probably been tossed in the trash by Tokyo drifters. Most have CC buttons, not sure if your truck is so equipped.

LOL - I was beginning to think that you'd missed that comment.

When I had the tailgate replaced and the truck painted, I was not able to find the original LONG BED V6 decal for the Driver's Side, but I did find the HEAVY DUTY decal for the Passenger's Side.
Hauling pumpjacks now, JP?

And do you know anyone with a vinyl cutter? I've seen a font similar to the one used for the lettering online.

I thought about having custom letters cut, but then I stopped worrying about it.

In fact, I'd forgotten all about it until 88HD showed his tail around here.

On a side note, the truck in the yard gave up its balancer earlier today.

I've got a buddy that does vinyl stickers and such.

88, when in OR are you from? I'm down near Roseburg.

That is a nice red truck. You don't see too many of those these days. (V-6/Longbed/HD) Not even in the Northwest, where these D21's are still everywhere even though the last one rolled off the showrooms here in 1997. Yeah, I like that truck.

Near Roseburg? I spent some years in Roseburg and Sutherlin when I was a kid. I wonder if they still talk about the Big Ass Dynamite Truck Explosion in downtown Roseburg that happened all those years ago. When I was there, it was still a main topic with the townspeople. It made the Oklahoma City Bombing look like a cheapie firecracker.
