Default One piece sliding rear window

My '95 sliding window is just a sliding piece of glass, Did these things have a latch, or a lock, or is that just how they were?

Sounds like you have a 3 piece back glass style slider. Those have a metal tab that attaches to the middle piece of glass. Once that piece breaks off(just glued on from factory), your pretty mush stuck with what you got. Unless you find a replacement piece to swap it out with. Total removal of the whole back slider is how you change it out.

I misunderstood tropicalcats, yes two stationary pieces and a slider in the center. I just couldn't figure how a latch would attach there. I figured it had to since someone could easily get in and unlock the door from the outside otherwise.
