Question Is it possible to buy a new bench seat anywhere for a 1989 Nissan Hardbody D21?

Hi everyone, do you all happen to know if there is still a supplier for a factory standard bench seat (driver/passenger) that would fit a standard size 1989 Nissan Hardbody D21 stickshift?

No, the price they wanted at a local upholstery shop to fix a 6 inch by 3 inch cracked patch in my other vehicle scared me away from thinking it would even be affordable to re upholster my Nisan's front bench seat. That may be my only option though. I wonder what others have paid to re upholster seats for their Hardbody trucks.

Default bench replacement

If replacement is the plan, have you considered going to bucket seats? I know of one or more sets in good shape here in Florida. Otherwise I guess your economy route would be seat covers. I am going to the junkyard today to look at and consider some Exterra seats for my D21 93 Kingcab. Has anyone converted/ modified these?

My local upholstery shop wanted 800 dollars to fix a hole in the seat.

Better to find something being parted out and make the drive to get it.

Keep checking your local Craigslist ads. Go with buckets and a console. Bench is well...not as good. Fair price for decent buckets from a wrecked or non running truck (here in the Great Northwest anyway) is around 75 bucks. Not from a wrecking yard, but a private owner parting out.

Bench seats are a lot better for a Regular Cab.

You can use the bench seat from any 86.5-97 hardbody. You should be able to find one in good shape. If it’s just dirty you can pressure wash it.
