Default MAF problems for z24I

So recently my truck started running worse to the point were it will barely run and so I first thought it was a bad fuel pump and it wasn’t that so I started to unplug sensors while it was running and the only one that made it run better was unplugging the Mass air flow sensor (and the computer also read this off as one of the trouble codes) so my question is where could I find one cheap because as of now most auto part stores want up to 500 dollars for one and is this what happens when the mass air flow sensor is bad?

www.rockauto.com for a replacement.

A bad MAF sensor will make it run really rich and rough. Some vehicles won’t even run if one is bad.

I've looked on rock auto and they show it out of stock i think my best bet is to wait for one at a junkyard to show up and at least then ill get it for cheap enough so ill know for sure that was the problem then go buy a new one.

Or do what I did.....I got really tired of chasing a fuel injection or some sensor wiring problem. I ripped all that shit off and bought a Weber carb conversion kit. It runs exponentially better with the carb. Nissan should have mass produced a US v6 carb powered hardbody.

And the Weber kit covers the z24 and the vg30i.

I've been wanting to do that for a while now but dont have time to switch it over (plus I've been trying to finish body work first) i just need it running for now. and I've read some threads saying the computer will shut down the fuel pump after a day or 2 because it cannot read any of the sensors, I dont know of its true or not but thanks for the suggestion.
