Default A new hope

I have my engine stand out and ready for the used engine I will get tomorrow .

I am looking at a complete rebuild I sourced the rods they cost about $340. If I need a crankshaft I have a source for that as well.

I'm hoping the used engine will have a good crankshaft.

Well, since they are forged cranks, and not CAST, your chances are good. But no more beating on a perfectly nice engine after you're done.

You gotta man, you gotta. These little things take it so well. I was doing donuts in bankhead with mine last weekend. Bangin the limiter like a $2 hooker.

You have a limiter? I'm a little jealous!

It's either a limiter or the motor just reaching the limits of it's design, lol. Tach doesn't work so I can't really tell what it's doing. It makes a lot of really odd noises at high revs, but I've been doing it for years and it still runs.

I don't have a limiter. Auto ECM FTW.

Here's what I got for $300. I was expecting the engine to be a stripped down long block.

It even has a new clutch, bonus

Just curious.

Why are you trying to Hot Rod a Z24 engine?

Does your race class require a 4-cylinder and the Z24 is a large 4? Maybe it's cheap, or you just want to be different from all the other racers.
