You know you drive a hardbody when you drive it twenty minutes to work before realizing you left all your coolant in the drive way.

+2 on that one. You interchange so many parts that the next time you go to the parts store and they ask you what vehicle you have, you say THIS:

Quote:
"I have a D-21 Pathfinder..."
You know you drive a hardbody when...you are no longer sure whether it IS a hardbody...anymore.

Or..... You didn't drive with any coolant or working radiator because you did all highway driving and these engines are basically air cooled at 110km/h.

First accident I got into when I was 16 in my hardbody blew out the radiator. Truck was driveable so I rushed over to my friend's house who lived in the area. Unfortunately she didn't give me pity sex, but I did pour water into my truck and cruised home on the fwy after traffic and did no damage to the motor.

I know how this goes. Most of the time the D21 does show up under 1986 then even after saying its the V6 SE trim they choose base model 4cyl 2wd. I've got some sort of early 2000s JDM VG33 so that throws a loop in things and makes me giggle. Its even worse if I give them a part number to which I have to go through all the rigmarole again to hear that part won't work. Do I have to drag you outside and show it how it works just fine! There is a reason I gave you a part number!

This is why I don't go to order parts without a part #. Sometimes it takes me a minute to remember what's what.
