Default Trying to get more power out of my ka24e?

I am wanting to get more power out of my ka24e. I'm pulling it out to rebuild it and was wondering what I should do to get more power out of it. I have 2 grand to throw at this motor so any suggestions? When I shop around and put together a turbo kit that would work for the truck it would be around a grand so if I go that rout I would still have a grand for the motor

Best bet would be turbo. You can always go cams, headers and 240 intake for a small bit more.

What sort of power are you looking for?

I would throw that grand at pistons and rods. Rebuild time would be your chance. Spend what is left on engine management. Then you know you have a strong motor and the means to control it.

Anything 200 and up. Would really like 300 but don't think I can reach that on my buget.

200 is plausible with lots of work but anything above is going to come from boost.

I considered boosting. Does any one know if I was to go to boost and throw some rods and Pistons some injectors and a fuel pump how much might I be able to make?
