UPDATE
It's been almost a month now, and the truck has not had a single symptom return. It idles WAY smoother, and drives WAY smoother, and MUCH more stable. I am very pleased. I'd like to vote sticky, too (perhaps move this to Engine & Drivetrain?), but it sounds cocky to do so.

i did this and it didnt work.. i can wiggle the wires vigorously and the idle never changed. not saying it doesnt work.. could a fuel pressure regulator do this.. because it go stuck open once at 1700 when warmed up.

I wonder if the frontier has the same issue? I have the same wiring harness or at least it looks the same, i'll be ripping into that tonight and checking! I'll post what I find, thank you VERY much for this post!!!

I tore open my wiring harness and found NO splices in that location for a Frontier, so this is for the Hardbody.

No codes. Never a code.
If you man-handle and wiggle the harness where the splices are, when the engine is running, it will show you have a problem if the engine stumbles.

Bwaaa! No data for the VG30? I would imagine that same wire wrapping guy at Nissan Motor Company did the V6 engines, too.
