I think here in the more urbanized areas you'd get in more trouble than the perp would. The best I can do right now is a can of bear mace and a wrecking bar, lol. I've had several things stolen out of my yard over the past few years. Nothing valuable, though. I know better than to leave things I care about sitting outside. It just bugs me that some people think it's okay to come onto private property and take things that aren't theirs.

That's how it is here in florida, it's against the law here to shoot someone who is stealing your car on your property. Now, I am allowed to confront them, and if they become violent, they will be dealt with accordingly. It blows my mind how the system seems to work better for the criminal than it does for the innocent....

Hi everyone, good news, my Pathfinder was found abandoned at a gas station off the freeway. It is intact and functional. They broke my steering wheel cover, but other than that it is fine. They had it for 22 days and it was driven for over 1100 miles. Person that stole it left receipts for Target, Stater Bros, Walmart, and Del Taco from Palmdale, 40-50 miles from me. I can't believe this.

Well glad they found it still together. Man, I would hope with all the DNA left and receipts they would find at least someone that knows the person who stole it. I have a feeling that leaving receipts behind they were not aware it was stolen or just that stupid.

Some guy probably stole it for his girlfriend, and didn't tell her it was stolen.

Pisses me off that he ripped the steering column off instead of using a screwdriver to take the 4 screws out.

Did the cops find it? It doesn't even need DNA. They can start by calling the phone number.
