That's one reason I did not want the crew cab, that short bed, put tool box in it and your down to a 2' bed, I did find out a long bed was available on the crew cab (same size bed as the king cab), but that truck would have been a LONG truck, LOL

Really long trucks are hard to navigate.
And, they look goofy. ![]() I even think mine looks goofy without the side-rail toolboxes.

I wanted a crew cab long bed but they’re hard as hell to find. I think the crew cab short bed trucks are disproportionately short. It needs the long bed to balance it out.

I don't need a crew cab anyway, it is only me and my wife that rarely we go out and take the truck, the only reason I wanted a king cab is to have a place for my sub box. Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to install the sub box and amps. I have some ideas in my head I'm thinking of but I have to get outside and do some measuring and figuring.
I want to design something where I can install the box and amps and still have the top to place things on top of, in the hardbody, being smaller and with the amps on top, I couldn't use the top to carry anything. They make a sub box that goes under one of the rear jump seats but it only mounts 1 10" and I currently have a box with 2 -12's. Not going to down size and am not looking to buy any new equipment when my stuff all works good now. I think the stock radio has some nice features but I'll probably pick up a double din radio, most likely the same Sony I got for my wife's car. I have to find a spot in the pass. firewall to run my power wire through, some people run the wire through on the drivers side but the battery is on the pass. side and I'm not a fan of running the wire across the width of the truck. But the first thing I need to do is remove everything from the hardbody, not looking forward to all of that ! LOL

Thanks, I wanted the automatic as the clutch (on the hardbody) is bothering my knee that I had surgery on

After all these years, Im still not a fan of the 2005+ Frontiers. They look too much like the Titan in my opinion. Im starting to warm up to the idea of the 1998-2000 models. Just cant stand the front fascia of the 2001-2004.
