Hi guys! Found this forum and this seems like a fantastic place to be part of. Shout out to caddilacdude1975 for answering my first question, as i had a feeling i was about to do something i would later regret.

An opportunity showed up to buy a 1991 Nissan d21 hardbody that has been sitting for over a decade. And since i found out i had another little one on the way and getting a double cab tacoma as a daily driver would be impractical. I jumped on the chance to get my self a fishing/hunting rig. And honestly itís been a while since i spent weekends monkeying in the garage so i was looking forward to a project.

Here is a picture of the truck after it was rolled out of storage, and the fancy phone that came with it. Apparently in todays dollars that baby would cost around $2800, and we think the iPhone X is expensive. Although i remember back in the day the Motorola razor ran around a $1000. Hmm i think my train of thought got lost somewhere around albuquerque.

LOL OMG txt me on that beast!

dang that truck still has the OEM radio. if you change that radio to something more modern, there are a few die hard nissan nuts here who would be happy to take that one off your hands.

one thing i would suggest doing after all the important stuff is done.................change those old door speakers. they were made from paper and will probably blow to bits with a newer head unit installed. 6.5 round speakers fit in the doors. all you have to do is redrill the screw holes, or use self tapping screws.

Welcome. Exact same truck as mine. Is your 4 or 6 cylinder?

Thank you guys. This one is a 6 cylinder.

That makes sense when I turned on the stereo and half of the speakers started going crazy. I'll be replacing it with a Bluetooth unit as weather permits. Good to know someone wants the old one otherwise I would have just thrown it out.

I can probably still call 911 if I ever get lost and if I manage to find a power adapter to the charger.
