Another junkyard score. This time a supercharged frontier. Some had already taken the blower but left me some critical install pieces for my future vg build.

They left the lower half of the blower and they left the lower intake manifold. They also left the maf and the pulley setup, all shit I can use. Got it all for just under 100.

Also got to installing the Weapon R intake I score off a junkyard truck back in March I believe. Put it in the rust bucket because I thought it would be funny.

So nothing complete, just some steps forward on my endlessly slow builds.

Love those seemingly useless parts people leave behind.

There is a supercharged frontier down the road from me. I'm tempted to.ask.if they would sell it.

Not a bad thought. You might sell them on the idea of joining Infamous while you are at it.

On another note, I'm always trying to 'sell' people around here on the idea of Advance Auto Parts and their Speed Perks program. Well...I saw today they don't ALWAYS have the best prices on EVERYTHING. For example, I saw that a full set of KYB shocks for the Teal Terror would be nearly double there, as compared to Amazon, where I can get a set for about $125 plus tax.

Okay, I finally just romped on the gas pedal (don't pass out from shock) in the TT. I was on my way somewhere important yesterday and this guy in a van was going 30 in a 50 zone. No one around anywhere except the two of us. So...I took the center lane, dropped it down to third, floored that sucker and went around him quick. Up to fourth as I passed him, back to fifth after I cut back over...and I didn't cut him off close, either. How nice of me. (*laughs*) Went from 30 to 70 pretty damn quick. Never had to rev the motor too high, either.

Still, it was pathetic. I worried for a minute or two some local cop would see what I did and pull me over. And once (back in the day of dinosaurs) I once took a 76 Dodge Polara and made it from Portland to Tacoma in less than 90 minutes in the middle of the night. That's about 150 miles...440 Mag...Carter Thermoquad, etc. I was crazy back then. How long ago? It was an auction car from the Washington State Patrol, a Captain's car. Only three years old. Forty years? Oh, brother. I have finally become my dad.

Unless they have a sc frontier that blower doesn't just bolt up to anything. It needs the lower half at least. They screwed now because I got it. LOL!!!

Bought it at auction for I think about $400 bucks, alot of money to me then.I painted it rattlecan primer black.Driving rural dirt roads under the influence of anything and everything available in the mid to late 70s. Seems sorta scary looking back at the chances we took in our youths. We were gonna live forever without any adverse effects to the stupid shit we did. Now that I that I am older and an old fuddy duddy, a good meal, an evening at home, 200 channels and a healthy bowel movement might be the biggest thrill of the entire week. My dad never had it so good.

Well, I haven't quite reached that point yet. YET.

I still bail town every chance I get in the Teal Terror and go camping in some pretty remote places. One trip coming up in August where I invite people to come along and do their own video for YouTube on the famous DB Cooper hijacking case. We bring the video/sound gear and they do their thing out in the wilderness.

Those trips are totally crazy. I bring a small generator and set it up two hundred feet from the campsite so you don't have to listen to it. At night, movies etc on the 32 inch Samsung TV, or maybe break out the media projector with the ten foot screen.

It kind of goes like THIS when I do these things. The next one will be about twenty miles NW of Shelton, WA as the crow flies, out in the Olympic National Forest. You can drive to it, of course.

Did some wheeling today. It was getting a little bigger than I'd like, 215F ish. Anyone know of a heavy duty radiator? I also need to make a good fan shroud.

Worked on Hector between thunderstorms today. Got auto climate control 90% complete with wire ran for outside ambient temperature sensor and thermo sensor mounted into evaporator core. Once I get pictures sorted and verify all is functional, I will post a "how-to" on this. Also discovered why driver's door lock actuator wouldn't trigger when I tested it - it's not plugged into the correct wires in the door! Now I get to find the correct one.
