Default 3 Vent Hood

Has anyone cut their own vents into the newer gen hood? pictures please

if you dont know what i mean by a 3 vent hood:

Why cut out your own vents if you can find hoods with them already there?

if it were me, I would probably try going along the lines of cutting them out in a long piece kinda like this:



then cutting out my hood and grafting it.

Because the top of the hoods are different.

Are they even functional on the old hardbodies?

If you want vents in the hood consider doing like my hood has. Stock heat extraction vents:

They're not functional, but it just adds to the look of the front end. Its something i might do in the future.

What keeps the water out? And the op's vents do let a little air in.

My plan was to use early 280zx hood vents. Looked like it could have cool. I just couldn't bring myself to cut a perfect oem hood.
