It was put on a brief hold due to going out of town for 2 weeks for training. I'm back now but the holidays are priority now. The front end is currently apart. I need to remove the dash to see how far i need to have the replacement section cut. Definitely dont want to do this more than once. I appreciate your interest in my project =)

Thanks for the link but it seems I miss identified the part that is rusted out in the title of the thread. Its actually under the cowl panel that has rusted through. Its the top of the firewall where the wipers bolt on to as well as where the hood hinges are attached to.

Here is an update. Removed the "air box / top of the firewall." Did this by drilling out all the spot welds after removing the windshield and the dash. Went to the junkyard and removed a rust free replacement for 70 bucks. Now just to clean it up and weld it back in.

No kidding!

And he did it all in his socks, too. Impressed.
