Default Do it your damn self rear valance (rollpan)

My last trip to the pick a part they had one factory roll pan that was super rough. Instead, I bought 1 aluminum diamond plate bed rail protector off an F250 for $10.

Got it home, measured the width and cut out the best part. Flattened out the 90* bend to gain more material and got this.

Cut about an inch of the top, trimmed the sides, drilled holes, wire wheeled the yellow clear coat, and paint.

Installed, top edge is wavy but will be hidden by the tail gate. Bottom edge rolls nicely with the bed corners, mounted with the top 4 bolts, fender washers when you mess up the mounting holes. Then mount your plate

After

Thanks, a person could always notch it to allow the spare tool through. I'm also considering cutting speed holes to decrease drag back there, seems like the jdm thing to do lol

That's cool man very creative. When I had my factory roll pan on my truck I got pulled over by a state trooper for not having a rear bumper.

Yeah, no hassle from the man yet. And I've been rolling sans bumper for a bit, kept it just in case though

Very similar to what I did, I replaced mine with 1/16" plate though, it's overkill

Cool, did a quick search for home brew options, didn't find much. The rolled edge on the rail cap fit great, didn't alter that a bit.
