Default Trailer hitch measurements

Got a local guy here that has all kinds of Reese hitches. I contacted him and ask if he had any for a 95 Nissan pick up. He wrote back and said he has an assortment of hitches bring your tape measure.
What am I measuring? Is it the spread between the bumper bolt attachment. What else ?
