Default Exhaust smell - strong

Just noticed today when I got in truck from work, started her up and a little louder than normal sorta deep wiggle sound in cab - yes inside cab a little loud in truck - but worse than before

So drive to gate (maybe 20ft) and get out to close gate and upon opening door strong exhaust smell. Running same jus stronger smell of exhaust - not a gassy smell; more like put your nose to muffler smell.

Any ideas places to start looking. First thought was O2 sensors.
I used mid-grade gas. Still have the EGR vacuum code P0104 - leak according to autozone code read. Not able to find the leak after all hoses changed .... Don't want go to muffler shop right away.

Any thoughts, advise, experience .... Etc much appreciated

Without knowing the exhaust system on the 4cyl I would say to check where the down pipe hits the flange for the cat back. My truck likes to blow those out and it is very loud and stinky in the cab. Mine is right below the drivers door.
