Yeah I didn't realize they would do that. I got them the correct size in the second post.

Still waiting for the fuel rail and injectors to arrive, but in the meantime my son and I got a few things done. Replaced the clutch slave and bled the clutch. Now the clutch feels nice and tight. Treated some rust just to stop progression before I can replace the passenger side inner fender and radiator support. Cleaned up and painted the bumper and grill. Those will both be replaced but for now it looks good enough. Also cleaned all the black paint off of the taillight and had a nice surprise finding the euro taillights i put on in 2003 were still there. Passenger side is in perfect condition too!

Quick update. I have installed the new fuel rail and injectors. The truck started up no problem but was idling very rough and running very rich. After lots of troubleshooting I found the fuel pressure regulator wasn't releasing pressure at all (the line from it was bone dry). New one arriving today so *fingers crossed* I should have a running truck by this afternoon.

Check the return line for blockage. I believe you should be able to blow air through it. I've heard of them getting clogged up.

Still troubleshooting the running rich issue. I have a genuine OEM Hitachi MAF coming next week. I've tried 2 aftermarket with no luck. In the meantime I have made some small progress. Replaced the door switch and dome light and now those both work. Also cleaned the engine bay. Getting little thing accomplished is definitely good to keep motivated while I'm fighting with the engine.

After

A few updates. After really digging in I found some vacuum issues and was able to resolve those so it's holding a steady 22 INHG of vacuum now up from 15. I also found grounding issues and fixed those by cleaning and sanding all the ground connection surfaces, replaced the negative terminal and added an additional chassis ground for good measure. Still have the rich issue but a new ECM should be arriving this week. I've also made a little bit of progress in getting it back to the way I remember it. Removed the last of the paint used to "tint" the corner lights and lowered the front. The previous owner had cranked the torsion bars all the way up.

Before

After (these will be replaced but for now this is MUCH better)

Lowered Front

Coming along nicely!

Seems suspicious that the tail lights and marker lights were spray painted black.

Was this truck stolen at one point?
