A: no crank girdle ( block stiffener)
B: talking about mains so far I have a feeling rods will show the same,
C: stock d21 rods, pulled the complete motor from a truck and tore it down, polished crank and bored pistons 0.020" checking clearances with plastigauge shows I have too much, measured with micrometer and my journals match the measurements for a 240 crank 59.96~ vs 63.65 for d21. So either the machinist accidentally swapped the crank with a 240 crank at the shop or this thing has a 240 crank stock.
Ase Master tech, I know how to run the tools and plastigauge doesn't lie unless you do it wrong I've just never run into nissans grading and having a crank so mismatched.

that is strange man, i don't know what to tell you. i think you might be hosed, unless you take it back to the machine shop and have them oversize everything and run different bearings

thats what i thought but i called nissan and they said bring it up there with the grade numbers and they can get bearings. they have 5 differnt size beaqrings for the mains. otherwise i will try the 240 bearings and see before i go to get oversized. never ever seen anything like this. thanks for the info about the timing cover, i have an appt with a parts truck locally saturday. maf and cover and anything else i want for $40.

It's been asked here once before, but it seemed to be in the unknown..I have a 95 hardbody with the ka sohc, if I found a ka dohc could I change my whole head out and it still run? If this could be done, there would be sooo many more possibilities for this truck..lol

Not Grabbing the transmission!!! so whats all the talk about switching pulleys and oil pan this and that, im not looking for it to be a super smooth easy job but damn

All im basically doing is taking the Ka24de off the s13 chassis and putting on the hardbody chassis and swapping wiring harnesses all sensors vacs all the shit that goes with it and computer???!! whats all this pulley swaping starter drilling timming notches on crank relocation talk???

This is comparing the ka24e block of the truck vs the ka24e block of the s13. Not the ka24de
