i noticed you sad the car motor mount brackets make the engine sit higher... how much higher will it sit in the truck engine bay? my only worries are the oil pan clearance since im doing this in a 4x4

why not weld up some brackets to lower the motor? Or will this cause clearence issues with the oil pan and cross member?

doing a KAe swap, from a 92 truck. however, my crank journals match the specs for a 240 and not a truck. i plastigauged and im 0.003mm out of spec for oil clearance using the d21 KA bearing supplied in my kit.
?#1 wonder if since my crank matches 240 specs, maybe using 240 crank bearings will put me into spec,
#2 ive read into the "grading" and adding the crank grade to the block grade to find your bearing grade, WTF? any of you two come across this issue,
#3 i am in desparate need of a timing cover, nissanpatszone lists the smae part number for the timing cover on a 240 and d21, ive read they dont interchange,
#4 also in desparate need of a Air Flow Meter for a 92 TRUCK. Any of you two maybe possible still have one ?

nissan d21 oil clearance spec, 0.020mm -0.048mm. im at 0.051mm. if 240 main bearings are .020 smaller, that should put me at 0.031mm, SAFE, ill research more but why my mexican truck block would have a 240 crank STOCK, is beyond me

are you talking about main bearings or rod bearings?

first of all, does your block have a girdle (block stiffener) in the bottom end?

second of all what connecting rods are you using?

if you do have a block stiffener, and you are running the 240sx con-rods. you need 240sx bearings. simple as that.

and as for plastiguage i wouldnt trust it if your doubting it. what you need to do is measure everything with a micrometer, and tools similar to that. do research on measuring oil clearances and you should be able to find some useful stuff.

and i do have a timing cover. 240sx and d21's are the same PM me and well talk price
