Default Tire Size for 2WD D21

I just picked up a great 94 Hardbody with less than 115000 original miles. I am considering putting larger tires on it to make it sit taller. I don't want to lift the truck, and I don't want to sacrifice the ride and mileage way too much. I don't mind staying with 14's even if I can get the truck higher, but would move up to 15" wheels also if it would work for what I want. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much.
Also if I do stay with 14's I'd love to find some robot style wheels.

I used 235/75/15 on 15-inch painted steel Pathfinder wheels for a long time. They gave it a nice, lifted look.

225/75/15 or 205/75/15 would both look almost the same on there, and those smaller tires would be easier for the engine to turn when accelerating.

I am running the same size as JP, no issues.. aside from a little slow taking off and a little longer slowing down (I have a 4cy)
