Eeuroparts.com is also a good source for parts. While I am not a fan of European cars personally they have some of the most complete parts kits I have ever purchased.

parts wise it needs a few small items. the shifter cover panel and climate control trim cover are probably the two cheapest pieces in the car. they are really thin and look well worn. those will be replaced. the center ac vent on/off slider is broken. the needed items are small things, so hopefully they can be easily replaced.

I've had the best luck with Pelican Parts for Benz items. The guys over at PeachParts.com (Pelican's forum) are great as well. Those dudes have helped me a ton with mine. Welcome to the classic Benz club!

Here's a pic from the Radwood car show in Dec, which is an 80s-90s themed meet.

Wanted to bring the Hardbody too, but I only bought a single pass and they sold out not long after. Unfortunately not many minitrucks were in attendance.

i used a can of gunk engine cleaner yesterday. that cleaned the engine up pretty good. i waited a few days because the car sat so long. it had a bunch of residual oil to burn off the exhaust. it smoked for a couple of days.

after i replaced the fuse for the gauges, i noticed the temp gauge will move about a third of the way then drop down to nothing. i suspect the temp sensor is bad. i love rocksuto. 4 bucks for a new one.

Speaking of electrical stuff, you may know this already, but if you can find them get the ceramic fuses instead of the plastic ones. I'm going to eventually rip the old fuse box out and replace it with a modern blade fuse one, but for the time being the ceramic fuses work a lot better than the plastics.

the gauge one was blown when i got the car. i never paid any attention to it being plastic or ceramic. i just used one of the same colored spares. i do need to get more though.

Best source for copper/ceramic fuses I've found is eBay. This link has 10 each, but you can find a package with a more proportional number of the correct amperage fuses if you dig around a bit.

found out i have a bad plug wire. i figured as much. the idle has been jumping around a little bit. i saw it arching off the side of the cap post. holy cow those things are expensive. 164 bucks at autozone. luckily there are other options.

i am debating on using NGK plugs vs the OEM Bosch. everything i own has NGKs. might as well keep it in the family.
