Alabama will be happy to know I have decided to stick with the 300zx intake manifold for now, it will be the easiest to get up and running. I went out and bought a second upper manifold that was in better condition. I will clean it up and paint when the time is right. I also grabbed the engine harness and ecm pigtails. No ECM though, they were either missing or been exposed to the elements.

It helps to have a spare VG truck block to help make the transition easier by donating things like mounts and brackets to the cause.

The upper manifold spent some time in a parts bath last night. Got a lot of grime out. Next for that is making block off plates for everything I don't plan to keep followed by a good painting.

Just making parts lists right now. The plan so far is to send the heads out to be checked out, re-gasket everything and swap the square teeth sprockets to round teeth so I can go 100k between belt changes instead of 60k. Not like Green is ever going to see 60k in my life time, let alone 100k.

That's all I know so far. More to come soon!

Soooo, the story is all over the place that I bought a rolled over WD21 Pathy dirt cheap that happened to have a VG33E swap done to it. The engine ran and drove and the entire rig was delivered to my house. So this changes my plan slightly. Rather than drop the 300zx VG in the truck I could be looking at swapping a lot of parts around, including cams and oil pump, ect. We shall see. Still got to pull the motor from the truck to really get a good look at what I bought.

Lucky mofo. I missed a chance to buy a mint 88 2 door pathfinder for 350bucks because I have no space to store another vehicle. Judging from your vid you have plenty of real estate

I am spread out all around the county, I have projects at friends houses. My barn is tiny and only has room for one truck inside plus my tools.

Cleaned up a 2wd vg oil pan and pick up tube in the parts washer tonight. Got to find a good place to drill a hole for an oil temp gauge. Eventually.

"You're going to need a bigger barn..."

Going to have to kiss that vg33 goodbye...stripped head bolts. Pissed right now. I guess I am building a vg30 instead.
