This thread is awesome, I need a antenna and really don't want one. I'm going to try that mentioned above!

Well my "STICK" is mounted to the fender and connected to the radio.
By removing the glove box, it was a breeze.

Thanks !

A long time ago, I got a Dakota Digital 'Untenna'. After the front end accident, I had the body people shave the antenna and install the Untenna. They ran it up the passenger pillar and stuck it to the top corner of the windshield. I don't think they hooked it up right because it doesn't work very well...either that or they did hook it up right and it doesn't work very well...? I found the old mast and installed it in that drain hole in the cab side of the bed, but haven't wired it up yet. I've heard of hiding it horizontally under the lip of the bed.

I've got a after market antenna, and it doiesnt fit the factory spot right. It bugged the crap out of me while at STC and while I'm off of work for plant shutdown I want to tackle this and shave that hole too. Tierdrop hit on my idea, i want to know if it works though. The coaxal mesh sheild would really need to be grounded, but I was wondering if a insulated wire was solderd to the coaxle core wire (the antenna lead) and maybe ran up a apillar and above the headliner. It seems like it would work. Anyone tried this, or am I not thinking with my dipstick?

My Antenna is gone. I replaced my fenders with PathFinder fenders with no spot for the antenna. I really did not like the look of the antenna, got a new Radio/Cd/BlueTooth set up and I am antenna free.
