Default two door pathfinder hoopty

Instead of starting with a wall of text lets get right to the pics..

I picked up this hoopty last summer. 87 v6 auto 4x4 200k miles runs n drives.

Took it out right away and started having fun.

First problem were shit tires and bent wheels. Solved that with five 31x10.50x15 Duratracs and new 15x8 steelies.

aaaaand straight back to the trails.

Fun was cut short by rod knock.

Hoopty spent the winter collecting parts and waiting. Changed the grill, headlights, and side mirrors.

First junkyard run was a success.

Next up was pulling this paperweight.

Filled time messing with the interior. Tool and lawn chair storage achieved under bed platform.

Another lucky day at the junkyard.

D21 bench and rubber floors worked out perfect.

Climbing in the back is easy enough after folding the bench forward. A hinged sheet of plywood on the back side of the bench covers the ugly orange foam and swings up to serve as a table or desk while sitting on the bed.

Had another vg long block in storage by chance (old z31 days) sooo tbi to mpfi swap and splurged on pacesetter headers.

and thats pretty much where everything sits right now.

While I’m new to 4x4 and overlanding, old nissan’s and living out of a backpack are familiar and comfortable. I hope to keep refreshing this pathfinder until it’s a reliable, mostly stock, escape-pod/adventure-mobile so I can set out across the U.S.

I’m not very active on forums or social media these days but for the most recent pics check out my instagram @zfarina86

I'm digging it! I love the look of the 2-door. That plywood seat back is brilliant, too!

thank you all for the replies. The hoopty has been mostly sitting and waiting as i collect parts and motivation.

I'm planning to build a new chassis and efi wiring harness using z31 na auto ecu. Bare bones race car style harness and switch panel type stuff.

I do have a few questions..

I'm interested in ebay radiators, two row aluminum for about $150. Are these decent quality?

Second, I need information on the automatic transmission. Model number and wiring diagrams to start.

Thank you

The model of the transmission should be listed on the door tag. Those could come with either a 3 or 4 speed auto.

Word of wisdom, on those headers that is probably a low temp paint, especially if it is a pacesetter kit. If you are out in the much a lot you probably aught to sand blast them and paint them with a header paint.

Got any more pics of your intake? That doesnt look like a stock intake for the VG30i.
