Calhoun GA, has a hunt Nissan sticker on it, figure its life started in Chattanooga.

Correction, it has a Mt View Nissan sticker on it but still from the Chattanooga area.

Well we had a pretty significant rain tonight and according to the weather radar expect more. Tomorrow I will do the "wet floor check" and I have my fingers crossed.

Tomorrow I will also attempt to find my spare parts from a few other trucks I have had around here.

- Instrument cluster from an SE-V6, really wish it was white but the orange will have to do for now, I miss having a tach
- HD V6 front brake caliper brackets, probably buy new rotors, calipers, and pads (JP.... uh happen to know the difference between the HD V6 and the normal V6 front brake parts?)

I also ordered a bunch of parts, most probably not needed but since I will have 90% of the front end apart going to replace almost everything.
- Drop spindles
- Drop leaf springs
- D21 4WD front shocks
- Nissan Quest rear shocks
- Moog upper and lower ball joints
- Moog, center link and all tie rod ends
- Complete energy suspension kit for D21

About the only thing I didn't get was an idler arm and the steering box. If it handles well and tracks straight I am golden, if not I know exactly where to focus my attention. I think I am going to run a set of Isuzu Axiom oem wheels with 205/45/17" tires, I like the look but we will see. I need to have a set of rims and tires before I rebuild the front due to the drop spindles (I hate having to take stuff apart twice because I didn't have it all the first time).

At this point I will play with the torsion bars and maybe a 1" drop block to see where I like it or more importantly how low I can go before I get stuck on the massive speed hump at work.

I am dreading the lower control arm bushings, I do not have a torch to remove them and from my understanding this is a mandatory tool for the job.

I didn't use a torch for the lower CA bushings. I used a hole saw and attacked the rubber from both sides followed up by using a wire brush to clean out all the remains. Most will say torch though but I didn't want to risk a fire on my truck or my garage.

It would be obvious to measure once I am there but do you happen to know what size hole saw you used? Just like to have one on hand when the time comes.

I'd have to check my stash but I think it was 2 or 2-1/4". It's easy to spot in my tool box since it's still covered in melted rubber.

Today's update:

After last nights rain I figured if I have a leak the floor would be soaked, pretty dry until I put my wet feet inside the cab. Looks more and more like the PO left the windows down but until I have had the truck and driven in rain, washed it then got in and it was totally dry not calling this a win yet.

Found my spare instrument cluster with a tach, came out of an 87 pathfinder not sure what I need to do to run it in this truck, gauge cluster is orange with the 1/4 tank meter in it. Looks like research is in order.

I saw an add on CL for a set of bucket seats, not great but for $75 I picked up the pair. Passenger side is a bit dirty and the drivers side has a few rips but seemed to be better than the pricing at the local yards and they were in the color I wanted. Think I made 20 cents after I took the bench out, quite a few pennies and a nickel. I do need two more seat bolts though, didn't come with em.

Today's pics:

Found the hole saw. It's a Lennox (Lowes) 51mm.
