Default Replacing Radiator Core Support

So I finally after 3 years I broke down and pulled the front end of my truck apart and quickly realized the core support was Fubar on the driver side. How bad is it to replace.

You got to drill out all the spot welds to remove it. I have heard of people bolting the new one in "I wouldn't". The other option is to weld it on your self but you will using self tapping screws to get everything tight the welding it up in all the spots you drilled the spot welds out. Hope this makes since and helps. It would be a all weekend affair.

Ok, I was wondering. I got a while before I can get a new one and some fenders.

lol yours looked a lot better than mine. That whole area where yours is dented up had literally rusted completely away on mine. I've currently got the rad support off and have a replacement ebay one sitting in the bed. I'm going to put it on over the next few days hopefully.

I'll second that. I wish my core support looked that good. It's dented but probably not fubar'ed. Why not pull the dents out?

I am pulling the dents out. Just waiting for reinforcements in the form of heat and a porta power.

Mine looks worse than that and I also have an eBay one sitting in the shed waiting to go on... now to just get a weeekend of work to do it would be nice.

I'm getting started on mine. I got a couple bolts in. It's further along than this picture shows, I worked on it till 10pm, but it was too dark to take a picture then.
