Any notch that is higher then the top of the frame will require you to cut bed or raise the floor - extreme static drops out back (more then likely requiring a pipe notch) will cause the axle to hit the cross member that resides above it (search "mini notching" for more info / pics)

I am going to give raising the stock bed floor a go - dont have a clue how I am going to go about it other then a few pics i have seen...cut first glue it back together later

The truck lives in a buddies garage...his son blew up the engine in his car, spent the last 2 weekends dropping in a fresh h22 - easy swap just time consuming



Now its back to working on the truck, hoping to have the gas tank mounted and maybe even start it up this weekend. Air managment is slowly showing up.

setting it up for a 25"ish tall tire (215/45/17 or 225/40/18) - frame is notched for a bit larger if I decide to go that way down the road.

life getting in the way... finally got the rear fish plated, gas tank mounts made (just behind notch), and painted most of it - need to mount the air tank, plumb gas / air lines and the rear is done!!
