Default Brake booster type

So I think I need a new brake booster, the issue I am having is, what type of booster do I have? the listing at the parts store ask if I have a jkc or whatever, or a timaki or something. (sorry, don't remember the exact names) I went to look at my booster, and I have no idea by looking at it, what brand or type it is, its factory Nissan is all I know, it had a sticker with a number on it, that was it. anyone know how to tell what type of brake booster you have?

parts store should be able to guide you by the year, make, model, drive type and engine size. Go to rockauto.com and plug your vehicle in and do the parts search; your a/m options will come up.

yes, but the issue here as stated, even with all of that I need to know if the booster in my truck is a JKC or a Tokico brake booster. apparently they are different and most likely not cross compatible

Only difference I see for the brake booster is whether the truck is rwd or 4wd, selecting the one for what you have should get you the right part regardless of the original make.

I've never heard of those 2 mentioned on here before.

Is your 1993 a 2x4 or 4x4? I already know from another thread that it's a V6.

it is a 4x4, it might be a difference between manual or automatic trans? only thing I can find different, is one is 9.71 in diameter, the other is 9.77. maybe to give enough room for the clutch master cylinder?

the problem here is both type comes up, and it asks which one made the booster in my current vehicle to select the type of booster I need to buy REGARDLESS of putting in the vin at the store. every parts store, even rock auto asks which one is in my vehicle.

I didn't see anything on Rockauto where it asks the brand you currently have, it just listed RWD or 4WD
