Check your dimmer switch and sure its not all the way in the up position. Just my guess never seen inside a new nissan.

Are the other brake lights on too? Check your brake pedal switch. Hardbodies have a rubber stopper that presses the switch to turn the lights OFF until the pedal is pressed. That rubber is known to deteriorate and make the lights stay on all the time. Could be the same with a frontier?

is this the brake light or the cargo light? If its the brake light i dont know if its the cargo light there is a switch on the left hand side at the bottom of the dash to turn it off or on.

Or just pull the fuse if its a cargo? Or would that kill other lights too.

This evening, I found that the cargo bed light on my 2010 Nissan Frontier King truck stayed on. I could turn off the light by flipping the dashboard rocker switch on and off, but when I exited the truck, the cargo light came on and stayed on. For wayyyy more than 15 minutes. Researching this problem on-line showed different posts relating to the dashboard dimmer switch being on full, wiring harness problems, door switch problems, and a host of other suggestions. I checked my dimmer switch. I even drove down the street, hoping that the cargo light would turn itself off. Nope, the cargo light stayed on. Grrrrr. More research, and more frustration. Finally on a lark I decided to open and close both doors on each side on my king cab. Driver's side doors, check, rats, the light is still on.... Passenger side door, what the heck? - The door was closed but not closed all the way. I almost NEVER open that door, so I am not sure who opened the door and did not close it all the way. Long story short, I opened and closed the passenger side door and the cargo light went out! There's no need to tell me what an idiot I must be. Point taken! I hope this post helps somebody as clueless as I was!
