Is the only difference with the crank that it's the smaller size snout. And am I able to use the vg33e rods instead of the vg30e's

I'm not sure. My research skills suck on a phone. Maybe someone else can chime in and link to Nissan Nuts page with all of that data.

Currently having trouble mounting the oil pump onto the crank shaft snout. The seal on the oil pump just catches on the snout when I try to put it on, is there a way to open the seal up to squeeze it over the thick end 9f the snout?

I used the VG33 oil pump, and I left the one in there that came with the motor.

Almost seems like you have to put the front seal in after mounting oil pump to the block.
