Default

Use a mechanical gauge to check pressure. The dial on the dash is highly dampened and not very accurate.

On a mechanical gauge I get 55-60+PSI on the highway, 60-65PSI cold idle, 15-20PSI warm idle. When I get on the throttle or work the truck my headers (I have long tubes) cook my oil pressure sender and it will drop to zero until it cools off some. When hot it gives a different reading than when cold.

Default Oil pressure low

This morning it rose to 50 pounds as soon as I started it, didn't do that before I put a quart of lucus in it, I guess I'm going to look at how to install a mechanical gauge because I have never installed one, if it didnt have any oil pressure wouldn't it be rattling from lifters and everything
