Take your broken part up to the local auto parts store.

First, look for newer 4x4 Pathfinder stuff up to around 1996.

If that doesn't pan out, have the parts guy start pulling 4x4 D22 Frontier (up to 2004) parts. The D22 is very similar to the D21.

Sounds odd that the 99 Frontier parts did not work, but obviously they are not guaranteed. I have a few D22 parts on my truck, including the "lever arm" for the e-brake that mounts under the truck to the frame.

Like I said, the best way is to take your old parts in to your local auto parts store.

Try to avoid times when they are super busy, because the guy you get is going to be pulling lots of parts for you.

Trust me, manufacturers don't make any parts that look identical but are microns away from a similar part they make. It costs too much. If they can use the same part, they will.

Is it broken in a way that you could get someone to weld it up for you? If you have to get a replacement, a junkyard or ebay is probably the best bet.
