Default Toyota wheels on a Hardbody

Ok, trying to figure this out. Need help from those of you running TOYOTA wheels:

1. I know the HB is M12x1.25 thread pitch so you will need new shanked lug nuts with that thread pitch, but how long? Gorilla is asking. 1/2"?

2. Bore is 106mm on the Toyota. 100mm on the hardbody. I don't think shanked lug nuts would make it lug centric and since the 106mm bore is too big, it would not be bore centric either. So what aligns the wheel??

Help / discuss.

sombitch.

so the Toyota TRD Off-Road wheel uses a shank style lug nut so the wheel is hub centric. It is a 106mm bore so it will fit, but nobody makes a 100mm to 106mm hub centering ring that I can find off the shelf (could be made).

Then I have to find m12x1.25 shank lug nuts with a .875 shank size.

Might have to look into a place that can do a re-drill and have them put conical seats in them instead of the shank style...Not too sure about this.

May have found lug nuts, but need to more accurately measure the wheels/Toyota factory lugs to see which ones are needed

I have yet to put on yota wheels other than my steel 16's on mine but hae done the 17 inch 4runner wheels onto a mazda with just lugs and had no problems.

Hajile had tundra wheels and didn't do anything but lugs I believe

I think the older Toyota wheels were not shank lugs though. ?? I read that its just the 4th gen's.

Any pics of the 17's you speak of?

All Toyota steel wheels are tapered lugs.

Not sure yet, I'm working on something obviously though I guess the cat is out of the bag.

Depends on if I can get this bore and lug shit figured out.

I found this thread...This helps and I agree...I found a vendor to get these from cheaper. I think this will work.

toyota has used shanked wheel lugs since the early 90's and the 4runner wheels are just the 5 spoke wheels used on the 4runner now and it was easy to do on the mazda cause they are the same thread pitch as the toyotas so I just took out 24 lugs from my toolbox.
