i do agree the d21 is not a 240sx (200sx here in south africa) i love my D21s i have buildt and owned about 18 of them. i am curretly building 2 1 is RB powerd drift truck from old parts i have and the other a 350z tubo powerd d21 double cab. the drifter is cheap mainly left over parts . i am realistic ,im no prodrifter and will never be any good in competion. but all i want is something cheap to slide and abuse when i want to. i have owned a R32 and R33 and abused and drifted them too but its always for sale so they come and go. the guy that thinks a d21 will be as good as a 240 is seriously delutional and probably doesnot get his hands dirty.
i have posted this vid before.its a stockish V6 d21 with small suspention mods ad steering mods stock motor welded diff. but this thing was fun on the street and on the track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRI8JcYdu4U |

I have to admit I am jealous of the South African truck scene.

True, true. They aren't the 240. I don't know why people would even compare them. I've seen a few vids with people talking about that but that's just crap.
That being said, i did race an 89/90 240 with my 95 d21. Always saw eachother going to work and then.....it happend. Coming off the interstate to get on another, we had the go. Same engine, both manual (I could hear his shifts later on) and I was starting to inch around him on the ramp. Stupid, yes but we had that fire going. As we exited on the freeway, I literally inched away until we hit around 95-100 mph. I had my truck lowered the poor man's way up front with springs and blocks in the rear, (squishy as all hell), and 17"wheels with zr rated tires. Imo, I knew how to drive better. That car probably should have got me but, it's go or blow when it's on for me. I'm no race expert but have done alot of racing before so I know my laws of physics. Ya just gotta have big nuts and know the limitations. From that point on, I know these lil trucks can compete, stock for stock btw. Our lil nissan's will blow the f away any other lil 4 banger truck in the KA time era. Taco might be the same but I have no comparison. Just the 240 and a vg30e hb. Loved my lil ka...
