Default Quick Question About Driving in 4H

Hey folks.
So tomorrow is probably the first time I'll actually have to drive on the road with 4wd.
Is there any info on maximum operating speed in 4h?

I wouldn't go any faster than 40km/h, or 23 mph in your speak. However this depends a lot on the road condition and how well ur 4wd has been maintained.

Edit: sorry thought u were talking 4L.

I do 65MPH on snowy roads in 4wd. As long as the tires can slip use 4wd. If not stick to 2wd.

My truck is screaming at 80 in 5th gear. I can't imagine doing that speed in 3rd. The 1997 2wd must have a higher rear axle gear.

Interesting that for 4wd modes, it posts no maximum speed in 4th or 5th. Maybe the truck can do it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Gearing will have a lot to do with it. I can Max out the speedo in 4th but I've got pretty tall gears.

I wonder what gear options were available in 1997. there may have only been one option since there was only the four cylinder.

I'd still expect the same 4.3 and 4.6 axles for 4wd. The 2wd probably goes down to the high 3s.

I don't think my VG can reach 68 MPH in 3rd gear.

I don't think my 4 banger can either lol. It gets pretty winded after 3500 rpm or so.
