$500 Sentra needs a wheel bearing. That'll be $7.14 on Rock Auto so I got 2. Lol! Be here next week!

Rockauto is awesome for stuff like that. I just bought a bunch of parts for the old camry...right about 130 for all 4 tie rod ends, 2 new rubber boots for the steering rack, both ball joints, stabilizer bar links and a new transmission mount. It would cost me more than that to have any one of those parts installed at a shop.

On the other hand, I gotta say I was a but shocked by how expensive it is to title and register a car here in OR. I wasn't expecting that.

Just went up this year to $112 plus $22 for emissions testing. Last time it was $86 IIRC.

Good luck with that. I bought many bearings for my 96 and 98 sentras my daughter's drove. Ended up buying a press to make it easier. I finally bought some complete oem assemblies, as none of the aftermarket bearings lasted long...

Mine went up from $90 to $125 in SoCal. Emissions test is biannual and costs around $60 for pre-2000 MY cars.

I'm not too worried about it lasting forever. Don't really plan on having the car for more than a couple years at this point. Hell, now that I've cleaned it up a little I bet I could get almost twice what I paid for it! Lol! I got a pair of bearings to be safe. If it were the truck I would have gone with SKF bearings in a heartbeat but I don't really care about the car much. The AC is nice though.

And I gotta figure out why cruise doesn't work.

The cruise enable rocker switch on the left side of the instrument panel ( if it is a 95 to 99, not sure what year yours is) will fail. I have had to replace mine. And the non oem bearings went out anywhere from days to weeks. (Days on the shop installed, which is why I bought a press).

99. Rocker switch lights up. Nothing else happens.

I'll warranty those suckers every month if I got to. Or drive them till they explode. The only purpose the thing has is to get me to work and my parents place by highway. Hope the last more than a few weeks.
