Is there suppose to be a chrome/stainless piece across the top?

If so is it still available?
The black version is for trucks like mine that came without chrome (black side mirrors, door handles, and grill). The chrome version is for trucks with that package.

When you find something on eBay, you take what you can get these days, though.

I'd like to know the part number for the black, though. I found a chrome one a few years ago, but no black versions.

My second worry on this particular part is actually being able to GET to where it is! LOL
I bought a cheap (less than 15 bucks shipped) fiber optic camera for my android phone, and I have found many more uses for it than I ever thought I would...

And I cranked mine today, first time in a while... Stupid health issue...

Yeah, I have a "home colon camera" someplace. Actually totally forgot about it! Now I might have to tear into the "file cabinet from hell" it might be easier to poke down thru the intake and look around.

When I ordered mine in 2016, all I found were black ones. I think I paid 25 bucks for the thing.

I wonder if they did the option packaging differently over the years, because my 93 came from the factory with chrome side mirrors and door handles, but black upper windshield seal. Unless the chrome had just worn off the upper seal.

Also, I think I paid like $9 and some change for it on eBay.

with two inches of rain coming tonight, i had to use a tube of silicone sealer on my driver king cab window. the seal is so dried and cracked it had a 2mm gap between the seal (what was left of it) and the water runoff channel.

im gonna have to slide to the pull a part and get a replacement window that has better seals.

why nissan and lexus made windows with a seal on them just baffles my mind. her sunroof pours because of the dried up and cracked seal that is supposed to be the water barrier when the sunroof is closed. i had to silicone that fucker too. and on the LS400, the entire headliner, a,b and c post trim has to come out to get the sunroof out. it sits in a tray that runs the entire length of the roof line. and then you have to take the entire slider apart to get the window out. and you get to do that job twice. once to get it from a donor car, then repeat it on your own.

giant pain in the ass.

I will never own a vehicle that has a sunroof.

Does your windshield say nissan on it? Aftermarket glass replacement companies dont always use the chrome strips. My 96 was like that, the glass was replaced but no chrome afterwards. It didnt bother me.
