i wish i had bought a spare set. they were only 20 bucks and are now no longer available. my worst fear happened. a rock got my driver one. looks like it was shot with a BB. so i bought a tube of aquarium silicone and smeared some inside the hole. it does not leak so i am fine with that "repair".

This what you looking for?

As of right now nothing yet. I bought it running out of a freinds truck for a couple hundred dollars, he was swapping in a 5.3l. I couldn't pass up the price. Came with ecm and harness. I have a nv3500 trans in storage for it as well. Waiting for the right project to come along.

Interesting weekend with Grover..

Pull codes from the ECU.

14 - VSS - yep, Speedo No Worky
35 - EGT - hmmm.. found connector appears this was Cali sensor but ?
Found some stuff about stuffing a resistor into the plug.
and
41 - IAT Sensor - Found I had the plug for the EGT plugged into the IAT on the air cleaner. Was cussing the wiring harness. Not sure how it was running. Corrected.
Put a little dielectric on the connector.

Now the truck will not start.

Checked everything. Checked all the fuses. Corrected a couple. Now my dash clock works great but the truck still will not start.

Maybe I broke the IAT sensor?

We'll have to sit back and see what the future yields for this engine, so many options.

So, the only thing you did was pull codes and plugged the EGT into the IAT?

Since you cannot un-pull the codes, try unplugging the EGT. Just go back to square 1. The EGT could have been bad and preventing the truck from running. That may be why it was unplugged.

If you don't get it fixed easily, I'd suggest starting a new thread so we can follow it better.
